Logistics, as we all know, can be best described as the management of the flow of various goods and other resources between the point of origin and point of consumption in order to answer consumers’ needs. Logistics usually encompasses the integration of warehousing, inventory, materials handling, packaging and transportation. Logistics have rapidly and significantly changed our daily lives when it comes to the distribution of goods. As a result, the impact of logistics on the society as a whole is essentially huge.
In a particular society, logistics occurs when an individual decides to send any valuable thing to his loved one, either domestically or abroad, and hires a transport company for handling and delivering his package to the destination with efficiency. This is just one of the aspects wherein logistics has a vital effect on the society on a local or global scale.
